Diverse Books for January

January is officially in full swing! ❄️ One thing I am so thankful for from 2017 is being introduced to so many diverse books, and this time of year is the perfect opportunity to incorporate them into our curriculum.

I've included a few of my favorites below for the New Year, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a few seasonal books and an upcoming release I'm really excited for!

I am so excited for this book! It's very similar to one of my favorites, Chelsea Clinton's She Persisted, except all of the women featured are young women such as Ruby Bridges. It'll be out January 23, but you can pre-order it now.
